Seedsman Review: Overview And Features
Seedsman was launched in 2003 and is headquartered in Barcelona, Spain. But they ship all over the world and have customer support lines in the US, UK, Poland, France, Spain, and Germany.
Seedsman is one of the most well-known seed banks around. They have probably the largest selection of any online seed bank, because they do not only sell seeds they breed themselves, but also seeds from a number of other breeders. They offer over 100 different brands.
With worldwide shipping, this means many different brands are available to you, no matter where you are. That makes Seedsman one of the most useful seed banks.
But they are not the best. We generally recommend trying one of our top choices for buying cannabis seeds online first. If they do not have what you are looking for, then check out Seedsman. They are still better than a place like the Dutch seed shop.
Again, they have made big improvements that now put them closer to the top tier. We’ve left the review as it was, and simply noted the improvement in italics along the way.

The two big advantages Seedsman has over most other seed banks is a huge selection and the fact that they ship anywhere in the world. Their biggest drawback is customer service.
Edit: they have made huge improvements to their customer service recently, so this is now one of their strengths. That, along with their faster shipping, puts them among the best seed banks.
Hugs Selection Of High Quality Seeds
Seed selection is the biggest advantage. Seedsman has over 4400 different strains, both from other breeders and ones they breed themselves. Whatever you need, it is almost certain they will have it.
That is a big reason we recommend it as one of the best autoflower seed banks available today. Some of the brands they stock include:

The seeds are high quality as well. Customers report that their seeds germinated with no issues or difficulties. You might find a bad review every now and then, but most of the feedback and reviews you see are positive.
Overall, Seedsman seeds have a stellar reputation. But the company does not offer a true germination guarantee.
They note on their website that they will do their best to resolve the issue if you live in a country where the seeds are legal, but that is not quite the same as an ironclad guarantee.
However, they do seem to take care of their customers if there are any major issues. If there is a problem, reach out to them and they will do what they can to rectify the situation.
We should also note that very few stores offer a germination guarantee and the only one that offers a 100% guarantee is I Love Growing Marijuana. We’ll do a comparison between that vendor and this one further down in this review.
Prices are generally on the low side. Of course, you can often get seeds cheaper if you buy directly from the breeder, but that is not always an option, depending on where you live.
Plus Seedsman runs a lot of promotions (more on this below), so you can often get prices that actually beat buying directly from the breeder.
So you’ll usually pay a bit less here. Now the question is: how do you pay?
Multiple Payment Options
Seedsman accepts several types of payment options. You can pay with a credit card, bank transfers, money orders, cash and cryptocurrency. If you decide to pay with Bitcoin, you’ll receive extra seeds as a bonus. You can’t pay for seeds with PayPal.
Cash is obviously the most discreet payment method, but it also takes the longest. You have to send the cash by mail and wait for it to arrive, before they can dispatch your order.
This can add up to 14 business days to the total delivery time, depending on where you live. For most countries, it is obviously a bit faster than that.
Worldwide Shipping
Shipping costs are based on location. This makes shipping reasonable and, for most locations, cheaper than many other seed banks. Seedsman will ship to almost any country worldwide.
Is it safe to ship cannabis seeds to any country in the world? Not all countries, but it is safe for most, as long as you take the proper precautions.
Delivery insurance is extra, but highly recommended, especially for larger purchases. If you order is confiscated, lost, or does not get delivered for whatever reason, Seedsman will send out a replacement free of charge. This is great, but it should be noted that some stores offer this guarantee for free.
Seeds are kept in their original breeders packaging whenever possible, but they are shipped discreetly. The breeders packaging is wrapped up and placed inside a small cardboard box, DVD cases or some other nondescript product. This is then placed inside a padded envelope. The level of discretion depends on your country.
Easy To Use Website
The Seedsman website is very well designed. It is simple, easy to understand and easy to use.
The menu is especially well designed, with overall headings for seeds, breeders and medical seeds, along with ones for promos and a blog. Under the medical heading, you can select from a bunch of different medical conditions and get a listing of strains that are good for that condition.
Under the regular seeds heading, you’ll find further breakdowns by type (autoflower, feminized, etc.), variety (indica, sativa), various other qualities (good for beginners, indoors, outdoors, mold resistant, low odor, high yielding, and many more) and even award winners from every year in the past.
The actual product pages provide detailed descriptions on each strain and a table that displays all the major characteristics at a glance. There are also many customer reviews for most of the strains.
The majority are positive reviews, but there are some negative ones too (which is a good sign, because it means they do not delete negative reviews like many sites do).
And even the negative ones are really helpful before making a purchase. These reviews give you insights into the experiences actual growers had, which is invaluable.
Discounts And Promotions
There are always promotions found on Seedsman. If you spend a certain amount of money, free seeds are offered. Freebies are also offered for paying with Bitcoin.
Seedsman typically runs as many as 40 seed promotions at a time. There are bulk discounts of up to 20% off any order you place.
If you are spending more than 30 Euros, free seeds come with your order. If you pay with Bitcoin, you will get a double order of free seeds. You can get free shipping to Europe, if you spend over .
There is also a loyalty program that is based on a point system. Every purchase of seeds accumulates points that can be used later for discounts or free seed purchases.
Once you reach 50 loyalty points, you can redeem them for one Euro ($1.18 at the time of writing) off your purchase. Bonus points are available on your birthday and once you have placed 5 orders.
Sales are always available that offer discounts on specific strains. Discounted strains are changed up often, so make sure you check them out whenever you visit the site. There are also always promo packs available that give you multiple strains at a bulk price.

Customer Service
Seedsman has an automated customer service line (in fact, they have multiple ones for different countries), but you’ll find it is not always easy to get hold of an actual person, at least in the US.
You might want to resort to e-mail, as they typically reply within a day. Keep in mind there’s only a 14-day return window. You’ll have to decide pretty quickly if you want to keep your merchandise or not.
Overall, the customer service is decent, but far from great. And it doesn’t come close to some of the best sites in the industry. This is definitely Seedsman’s biggest weak spot.
Again, they made big improvements here, though there is still a ways to go. But we love companies that listen to criticism and work hard to become better!
Seedsman Vs I Love Growing Marijuana
Let’s get this out of the way immediately: I Love Growing Marijuana (ILGM for short) is our favorite seed bank. But they are only available to some people, because they only ship to the US and Australia.
Seedsman ships worldwide, so anyone can order sees from this store. Shipping times range from fast to fairly slow. UK orders arrive in 1 to 3 working days after being shipped, but there is also a dispatching time of 1 to 3 days. European orders typically arrive within 1 to 2 weeks, and any other orders usually come in under 25 working days. ILGM ships to the US in around 4 days, so they are much faster there.
Both Seedsman and I Love Growing Marijuana offer multiple payment options. Both also offer a discount if you pay with Bitcoin. There is not much difference between the two here.
The I Love Growing Marijuana website has tons of helpful information on growing that is great for beginners who are looking for tips and tricks to getting started growing weed. Seedsman, has almost no growing info on their site.
The biggest advantage of I Love Growing Marijuana is their 100% germination guarantee. This is unmatched in the industry and Seedsman obviously can’t compete, since they do not offer any type of guarantee.
The customer service at ILGM is also far superior to Seedsman. It’s much easier to get ahold of someone at ILGM, and they take better care of you.
If you live in the U.S. or Australia, I Love Growing Marijuana is a much better choice, unless you find they do not have what you are looking for. If you live anywhere else, Seedsman may be your only option, though we recommend checking a few other banks first, primarily Crop King Seeds.
They are a better choice than Seedsman, too. If they do not have what you need or won’t deliver to your location, then Seedsman is a great third choice.

Seedsman Online Seed Bank: Final Verdict
Seedsman is a great online seed bank. They have a huge selection of cannabis seeds from many different breeders. They ship worldwide, but shipping to anywhere outside Europe can take up to 25 days (no longer the case: they have drastically improved shipping times). Shipping is always discreet, but you do have to pay extra for guaranteed delivery.
Seeds are high quality and prices are great. But there is no germination guarantee. On the whole, customer service lags far behind the best in the industry, but it is still pretty good (no longer the case: customer service has improved and is now closer to the best).
The website is excellent and very easy to navigate, with tons of info on every strain and many customer reviews as well.
Overall, we highly recommend Seedsman. They are among our favorites and they have arguably the largest selection of them all.
We’d check them all out and go with the one you like best. The truth is, you really can’t go wrong either way.

This year we were all scammed by seedsman made to pay cash in euros then send cash by certified mail adding to the cost and the extra time, then to top it off no delivery insurance i guarantee you not many australian customers got seeds i seriously doubt that they even sent them. I’ve been arguing with them since August this year its about recouping losses from there “so called stealth shipping seeds sticky taped in the inside of a card every order for the last 4 years”. on a happy note if your looking for a good company i recommend HERBIES delivery insurance your choice of a refund or reship if they don’t easy payment methods great customer service 5 star across the board

Tracking # (not-individual. large-batch) stopped moving through the system weeks ago. i researched and many people have not received orders or re-orders. Customer Service is Useless. Ordered from Seedsman early September they claimed two times that order was intercepted and sent a third shipment . I received a tracking number for an Asian company my was dispatched to on Oct 7th. Today is the 20th of october and NOTHING!..Also Seedsman’s Website is down..
I guess this is an impossible situation to reconcile at this point.

From Canada. I have had no problem with Seedsman seeds. Ordered, paid with bitcoin, received everything I was suppose to and then some and so far all seeds have germinated. Havent had to deal with C/S yet so I can comment on the quality of their service if you do need it. 5 outta 5 from me.

And just so everyone is aware, it is not Seedsman seeds that is responsible for the security of your credit card, they simply process the transaction. If your card has been compromised better look first at the credit card company, then your bank, and then yourself. Usually a breakdown from one of those three sources is the reason for the compromise. This is why Bitcoin payment is far better than any other payment type. Too many hands in a simple transaction leads to all these problems. Blockchain not banks. If you dont understand it, learn it, you’ll be far better off.

Ilgm sells bunk seeds they bought elsewhere and label them as theirs. Ilgm also charges triple than any other company. Ilgm packaging is discreet but packaged half butt in a Ziploc bag just thrown in an envelope. If I didn’t know better I’d swear this article was bought and paid for by ilgm.

i dealt with seedsman for last 4 years and the last couple of years i have found the germination rate on there seeds to be extremely poor 20% and the customer service is non excitant this year they wouldn’t give any delivery insurance for Australian customers and of coarse they didn’t arrive and to top it off the credit i had disappeared when they updated there website, when i queried about my credit they got back to me 2 weeks later after i messaged them again and said that i needed to produce a email saying i had credit bit hard when you don’t get any emails to start with, this has been going on for months. In the meantime i ordered from HERBIES SEEDS what a difference ordered and dispatched to shipping in 24 hours delivery insurance and my choice of a full refund or reship if it doesn’t arrive, and customer service that is 5 star so if your in Australia don’t waste your time and money buying from seedsman i whole heartily recommend HERBIES

No stealth shipping. Items arrive in a makeshift plastic bag in simple generic envelope!
I ordered 10 bubblegum seeds from Seedsman. All 10 where duds. All floated and never germinated under controlled environment.
Seedsman replaced the 10 acknowledged they were dude and send me another 10. All 9 were duds. The one which germinated and grew well was Not Bubble gum, in fact it was the god most awefull heavy body, complete opposite bubblegum with Northern light taste..
I’ll never ever order from Seedsman ever!!!

I recently bought 4 Seeds from Seeds-man. I am an experienced grower and have been germinating my seeds the same way every time with almost 100% success. I paid Seeds-Man $52 US dollars and only one seed germinated and grew. I have scent several E Mails to them but they won’t do a damn thing to make this right. I will NEVER EVER buy from a shady outfit Like Seeds-Man that are so damn cheap, they won’t stand behind the cray they sell

Seedsman used to be great to deal with. They had a very extensive collection of products offered and shipped in a reasonable time.
Unfortunately they are clearly not well organized and the recent run on stock and other pandemic disruptions combined with typical “debit the account now and worry about whether we have anything to ship later” mentality has made them very undesirable to deal with. I ordered 3 strains on 3/20, my account was immediately debited and 3 wees later I inquired why there was no response from them. I was told that all 3 items were out of stock, would I like a refund…..The items in question still show as in stock on their website….

Lol. Yeah, Seedsman has 100s of brands on their site! Too bad 80% of it is out of stock 100% of the time.. lol. If you live in the US, do NOT buy seeds from overseas, the 90’s are over, there are plenty of breeders offering quality genetics here in the states and Canada. Check IGs of American breeders. Most of us have periodic sales and give generous freebies. It would be crazy to risk your money sending it overseas at this point in the game. If you must, go with the Attitude – they have never let me down.

I’ve had horrible experiences with Seedsman customer service, it is almost nonexistent. Particularly “Wioleta” a chat agent who apparently was born without a functioning brain and never received any training after that. This company uses the old “order was already dispatched” excuse when only a label request was submitted, and your order is sitting somewhere for days without any action. Often there are days on end without a email response, and they often overlook, or miss customer service tickets.
I would avoid this seed bank, there are many others with far better customer service.

Never buy from Seedsman – EVER!
They actually state on the site that free seeds do not grow, when you get them they don’t grow adn they tell “…we told you upfront…”
The GS Cookies I purchased only 2 of 5 grew, they blamed me, sorry charlie, I have 15+ years growing – it’s the seeds.
