Cannabis-Infused Cocktail Recipes

Some of the following marijuana-infused cocktail recipes are incredibly simple. Others have an ingredient list that is a bit longer and a somewhat more involved preparation.

That said, none of them are overly difficult, if you have any experience mixing cocktails already. And even if you don’t, you should not have any problems.

CBD Gin And Tonic

This is a cool CBD-infused drink to try. It is elegant and refreshing at the same time. The CBD Gin & Tonic needs just four ingredients, is super easy to make, and even more satisfying to drink.

Ingredients (For one drink)

  • 2 fl oz gin
  • ยฝ fl oz fresh lemon juice
  • 10 mg CBD tincture (learn to make DIY tinctures here)
  • Tonic water chilled
  • Marijuana leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon wedges for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Combine gin, lemon juice, and CBD tincture in a wineglass
  • Fill the glass with ice and top off with tonic water
  • Stir gently
  • Garnish the glass with marijuana leaves and lemon wedgeย  (optional)

Cannabis Martini

Try this simple twist on a classic martini recipe. It uses just six ingredients and you can make it in under 5 minutes.

Ingredients

  • Vodka – 3.5 ounces (you can also use dry gin)
  • Olive juice or olive cocktail brine – 2 ounces (use the juice from a bottle of olives)
  • Extra dry Vermouth – 1 splash
  • A dash of fresh pepper
  • CBD oil – 3 drops
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add ice cubes to the cocktail shaker
  • Pour the gin/vodka, olive brine, and CBD oil on top
  • Add freshly cracked pepper
  • Mix well and chill
  • Strain into a chilled martini glass
  • Garnish with skewered olive and some more pepper on top

Easy Cannabis Red Wine Sangria

Red wine sangria with cannabis tincture is a refreshing summertime drink. It can be made ahead and the longer it sits, the better the flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium orange (washed, sliced, and diced; leave the rind on). You can use different types like tangerines, etc.
  • 1 medium lemon (washed, sliced, and diced; leave the rind on)
  • Frozen berries – 1 ยฝ cups of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, etc.
  • Red wine – one entire bottle/750 ml. Use Merlot or any Spanish red wine of your choice
  • Cannabis alcohol tincture – ยผ cup
  • 1-inch stick of cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a large mason jar, add the frozen berries, lemon, and orange. Muddle them with a wooden spoon.
  • Pour the entire wine bottle and a quarter cup of the cannabis alcohol tincture over the fruits.
  • Add the cinnamon stick.
  • Place the mixture in the refrigerator and chill overnight.
  • Strain before serving. You can add some ice cubes and fruits for garnish.

Weed-Spiked Mimosa

This next recipe is easy and fun to make and you must try it for your next brunch. It masks the cannabis taste well and you can also make a non-alcoholic version using sparkling water instead of champagne.

Ingredients (for 6-8 mimosas)

  • 8 ounces each of fresh orange and fresh pear juices
  • One 750 ml bottle of Cava or Prosecco chilled for at least 3 hours before serving. For a non-alcoholic mimosa, you can use a bottle of sparkling water.
  • Dissolvable cannabis powder

Instructions

  • In a large jar, add the fruit juices. Pour the chilled champagne on top. Let the bubbles settle and then add some more champagne.
  • Add dissolvable cannabis powder.
  • Stir.
  • Serve with fresh fruit.

Cannabis-Infused Caipirinha

Caipirinha is the national cocktail of Brazil. It needs a Brazilian rum called cachaรงa but you can use any dark rum instead (it will be called Caipirissima then). You can make this THC-infused drink version in under 5 minutes.

  • ยฝ lime quartered with the peel
  • 1 tsp sugar (use raw cane sugar or brown sugar)
  • 2 ยฝ fluid ounces cachaรงa (Brazilian rum)
  • Cannabis tincture – a few drops

Instructions

  • Into a glass, add ice cubes.
  • Add the sugar, and squeeze and drop the lemon wedge with the peel into the glass.
  • Muddle well.
  • Next, add the cachaรงa and cannabis tincture.
  • Stir and enjoy.

Spicy Jalapeno Cannabis Margarita

This is a wonderfully spicy margarita with CBD oil.

CBD-Infused Moscow Mule

Contrary to popular belief, the Moscow Mule is not a Russian drink. It originated in America. The main ingredients of the classic Moscow Mule are ginger beer and vodka. It has a spicy, fizzy, and sweet taste which is enhanced by the addition of THC. The drink is also called Vodka Buck.

Ingredients

  • Ginger beer – ยฝ cup
  • Vodka – 1 ยฝ fl oz
  • Freshly-squeezed lime juice – 1 fl. oz
  • CBD tincture – lemon flavored preferable – 2 to 3 drops

  • 1 lime wedge

Instructions

  • In a glass, add the ice cubes.
  • Pour the lime juice, vodka, and ginger beer, and stir.
  • Drop a lime wedge into the glass and serve.

CBD Hurricane Cocktail

A bartender in New Orleans first created this Hurricane cocktail during the Second World War to counter the shortage of whisky. It is made with two types of rum, lime, and orange juices, passion fruit puree or juice, and syrup. The result is a sweet, fruity, and boozy drink. The addition of CBD syrup takes things to a whole new level.

  • Passion fruit puree or juice – ยฝ cup
  • CBD syrup – ยฝ tsp
  • Simple syrup – 1 tsp

  • Add all ingredients into a shaker and shake well.
  • Pour into a glass over ice cubes.
  • Garnish with lime wedges or orange slices.

CBD Daiquiri

The daiquiri is a simple drink to make. It requires just three ingredients and has no fruit other than lime. All you need is fresh lime juice, a light rum, and syrup. You can use CBD syrup or mix simple syrup and CBD syrup.

Ingredients (For one drink)

  • Light rum – 1 ยฝ ounces
  • Freshly squeezed lime juice – 3/4th ounce
  • CBD syrup – 1/2 to 3/4 ounce or to taste

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a shaker.
  • Mix well.
  • Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

CBD And THC-Infused Drinks: Final Thoughts

This was another one of those articles where I really enjoyed the research! My favorites were the margarita and the gin and tonic, because those are probably my two favorite cocktails, even before adding THC or CBD. Plus, I really like jalapeno too.

Which of the cannabis-infused cocktails listed above sounds best to you? Have you tried making any of them yet? If so, how was it? Do you have any other great drinks infused with marijuana? If so, let me know in the comments below.
