The iPower 4 foot 36 watt LED grow light tube and stand was designed to replace a fluorescent tube and it does so perfectly. It costs less than you would pay for the fluorescent light plus the fixture and it outperforms it in every way.
It uses less power and generates less heat, drastically lowering your monthly operating costs. Its LED diodes last for 50,000+ hours, which means no bulb changes for at least 4 years, but probably closer to 10. Fluorescent bulbs need to be changed at least once, but preferably twice, per year with regular use.
The 4 foot LED light by iPower has a full spectrum light made up of red, blue and white LEDs. It gives you the same white light spectrum as fluorescent light, but with added blues and reds, since those are the colors used most by plants. This is a full-spectrum light that can be used for all stages of plant growth.

iPower’s LED grow light is meant to replace a fluorescent tube and gives you similar results. But it does so while only consuming 36 watts of power and produces almost no heat. This alone saves you a ton in operating costs, but it gets even better.
LEDs last 50,000+ hours, which is 4-5 years of use. Fluorescent tubes have to be replaced every six months. Those costs add up, not to mention the hassle of having to constantly purchase new bulbs and swapping them out.
The light spectrum of iPower’s LED tube is also superior to fluorescent. Fluorescent light includes a lot of green and yellow light, which isn’t used by plants. You are paying for light that just goes to waste.

While a one-year warranty is nice, most top competitors in the industry offer at least a 3-year warranty as well as a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. I hope iPower jumps aboard that bandwagon soon.
